Gentle Therapeutic Manipulation - a non-invasive therapy.

Gentle Therapeutic Manipulation (GTM) Therapy or 'Neuromyopathy' (which translates to 'nerves' and 'muscles') consists of the gentle realignment of the vertebrae by use of minimal fingertip pressure of our highly experienced therapist, accompanied by the voluntary muscular movements of the patients as directed by the therapist.

GTM Therapy works by use of manipulation without trauma or force to re-align the spine at the neck or back by encouraging the vertebrae to align to the corrected positioning. This in turn relieves vertebral pressure on the nerve and alleviates a multitude of related, seemingly localised pain conditions.

We treat not only the condition, but the cause of it, to resolve related symptoms.

For example, if someone is suffering from Occupational Over-use Syndrome (OOS) which effects the elbows, wrists, hands and fingers; treatment is often focused on the area where the symptom or pain is felt; however this condition is caused by inflammation of the nerves originating in the neck which continue through the arm to the hands and fingers. Therefore treatment focused on the realignment of the neck will in turn bring relief to this related condition and its pain symptoms.
